The prices of most of the main grain commodities on the world stock markets continued their divergent movement during the past week as well, the experts of the Sofia Commodity Exchange report, BTA reported.
This week, the FOB price of bread wheat in Chicago reversed the trend and rose $4 to $253 a ton. In France, the drop is by 2 euros to 206 euros/ton, in Ukraine the price is also down by 2 dollars to 203 dollars per ton. Russia lowered quotations the most – minus 10 dollars to 225 dollars per ton.
Corn movement is also down. In the US, the price fell by $4 to $187 per ton. In France, there was little change at minus €2 at €177/t, and in Russia, following the previous slide down from two weeks ago, prices fell another $14 to $181/t.
Barley prices in Ukraine are also in the negative – minus $4 and levels of $176 per ton for delivery in March. Rapeseed on Euronext halted its upward march and also fell by €5.50 to €416/ton.
Crude sunflower oil prices on the Rotterdam Stock Exchange, after some stagnation, rose $10 to $930 a tonne, while refined sugar for delivery in March 2024, after a two-week rise and subsequent loss, continued to fluctuate, this time down 10 .90 dollars, reaching 619.70 dollars per ton on the London exchange.
At the Sofia Stock Exchange, trading in the “Grain” sub-district also remained calm with a slight increase in individual prices. “Sell” quotes for large quantities of bread wheat are at BGN 431/t, immediate delivery (DAP), and buyers are offering BGN 300/t. Fodder wheat is offered from BGN 350 to BGN 390/t, corn – from BGN 360 to BGN 390/t, and for oilseed sunflower the “sell” offers are BGN 850/t.
The supply of white flour continues at BGN 800/t, while white refined sugar in sacks is quoted at BGN 1,840/t. Oil in bottles is sold between BGN 2.20 and BGN 2.50/l.
On the SSB, this week passed traditionally for the season under the sign of energy carriers: there were deals for natural gas at BGN 1,520.05/thousand cubic meters and BGN 1.71/kg. A95H motor gasoline was sold from BGN 2,108.33 to BGN 2,225/thousand liters, B6 diesel fuel at BGN 2,183.33 – BGN 2,325/thousand liters, diesel fuel with additive at BGN 2,600/thousand liters, gas oil for PCC at BGN 2345.38/thousand l and propane butane gas within BGN 1000 – 1050/thousand l.
