• In Kherson, the Russians continue to bomb civilian targets, including schools. At dawn on Sunday, a school in Berislav was hit by a drone strike. A fire broke out in the already half-destroyed building. In the same place, Russian forces used a drone to destroy a truck that was delivering drinking water to local residents. The car was completely burnt, but no one was injured.
• In the Donetsk region, the Ukrainians managed to shoot down another Russian Su-25 aircraft, announced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message on Saturday evening. This week, the Russian occupation forces launched more than 380 attacks on Ukrainian cities and regions, therefore, in order to protect human lives in Ukraine, air defense systems and weapons are now urgently needed, he stated in his Facebook message.
• The Information Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced on Saturday that in the past one day, Russian forces attacked ten Ukrainian regions, hitting 141 settlements and 222 infrastructure facilities. According to the center, there are also dead and injured civilians, but they do not yet know the exact number.
• The Ukrainian General Staff wrote in its morning situation report that there were 119 clashes on the front in the past day. The situation was the hottest around Avgyijivka and Bahmut in Donetsk county. According to the summary of the general staff, the loss of life of the Russian army in Ukraine exceeded approximately 473 thousand. On Friday, Ukrainian forces destroyed, among other things, 12 Russian tanks, 46 artillery and two air defense systems, as well as 31 drones.
• Emmanuel Macron’s statements increase the tension, Italy’s direct intervention on the Ukrainian battlefield is out of the question, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto told the Corriere della Sera daily on Saturday. Guido Crosetto said that he did not want to qualify the statements of the president of the friendly state of France, but called the purpose and benefit of Emmanuel Macron’s words incomprehensible, since “his statements actually increase the tension”.
