UConn Continues Reign at No. 1
As of February 2, 2026, the University of Connecticut (UConn) huskies remain the consensus No. 1 team in the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 women’s college basketball poll. The defending national champions boast an undefeated record of 23-0 and have extended their winning streak to 39 games. They received all 31 first-place votes following a dominant 96-66 victory over then-No. 15 Tennessee on Sunday, February 1, 2026. AP News

The top four teams remain unchanged from the previous week:
- UCLA (21-1)
- South Carolina (21-2)
- Texas (21-2)
LSU (21-2) and Louisville (21-3) both moved up one spot to No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are Vanderbilt (21-2), michigan (19-3), Ohio State (20-3), and Iowa (18-4).
Notable Moves in the Poll
Ole Miss (18-4) experienced the biggest jump in the rankings, climbing four spots to no. 13. Conversely,Tennessee (14-5) and Princeton (18-2) both fell four places to No. 19 and No. 23, respectively. Maryland (17-6) had the largest drop, tumbling six spots to No. 22. North Carolina (17-5) entered the poll at No. 25, replacing Georgia.
