He was the victim of death and several wounded in the attacks launched by Russian forces in several regions of Ukraine on Wednesday night.
“During the night, the Russians shot Selidov, one person was killed and seven others were wounded,” Vadim Filaskin, the Ukrainian governor of the Donetsk region, wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
53 multi-story buildings, 10 family houses and 24 vehicles were also damaged in the attack. The governor did not mention how the Russians fired at the city west of Donetsk, which has been in Russian hands since 2014. One person was also injured in Avgyijivka.
In the Odessa region, two policemen were injured as a result of a drone strike, reported the online portal Ukrainska Pravda. In the city, two objects under construction, a residential building and a dormitory were also damaged.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force’s statement on Thursday, 11 of the 17 Russian combat drones attacking four regions of the country were neutralized.
Crashes and damage were also reported from Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine and Vinnitsa county in the central part of the country. More than 20 residential buildings, an industrial building and a sports facility were hit in Mykolaiv, and a downed drone caused a fire in an infrastructure building in Vinnitsa. The fire department managed to control the flames.
Ukrainian air defenses were able to neutralize the drones and most of the Kh-101 maneuvering robot aircraft, but converted Russian anti-aircraft missiles, Iskander ballistic missiles and other types of maneuvering robotic aircraft were targeted.
