They went to Zealand together, where the king in love built Gurre Castle. After learning about it, the king’s wife had Tovi secretly killed. In a frenzy of despair, the king curses God for not preventing this calamity. For this, the king receives a punishment, according to which he must hunt forever at night in the vicinity of Gurre Castle together with a troop of ghosts from the afterlife and disappear together with the ghosts until the light of day dawns.
