Liputan6.com, Jakarta – In the body of someone who has been infected with COVID-19, there are a number of changes in the symptoms of the disease Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This is caused by the influence of an immunological reaction, as confirmed by the Director of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (P2PM) of the Ministry of Health, Imran Pambudi.

“Indeed, there are several reports that indicate there are changes dengue fever symptoms after the COVID-19 pandemic. “This is indeed related to changes in immunological reactions that occur in the body of someone who has been infected with COVID-19,” said Imran in Jakarta, Friday, as reported by BETWEEN.

Imran said that the Ministry of Health had received several reports showing changes in symptoms in dengue sufferers after the pandemic COVID-19one of whom came from Bandung City, West Java.

The local health service detected signs of dengue fever that are not usually recognized in patients, such as the absence of symptoms of red spots and nosebleeds, which have been serious signs among dengue sufferers.

Red spots and nosebleeds after being bitten by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, said Imran, are classic symptoms that do not always appear in dengue sufferers in the current pandemic era.

In case hemorrhagic fever, red spots usually appear on the third day and last for the next two weeks to three days. The spot will decrease on the fourth and fifth day, then disappear on the sixth day.

“Symptoms of red marks on the skin and nosebleeds are classic symptoms that occur when platelets are less than 100,000 per microliter,” he said.
