The winner’s compatriot Eba Andessson, who lost one minute and 19.3 seconds, finished second, but in the fight for third place, German Katarina Hennig beat Austrian Teresa Stadtlober by two tenths of a second. Hennig was 5.9 seconds behind second place.

Overall leader American Jessie Diggins finished four minutes and 8.4 seconds behind the winner, which gave her 11th place.

Eiduka lost 11 minutes and 51.5 seconds to the winner, being nine seconds behind the closest follower. 39 cross-country skiers started, of which two withdrew.

Before the final four competitions, Diggins has 2437 points in the overall standings, the Swede Linna Svāna, who finished in 12th place today, is 159 points behind, and Karlsson has another 200 points less. Eiduka with 947 points is in the high 14th position.

On Sunday, men will compete in this distance.

At the beginning of the year, Eiduka won the fifth place in the last stage of the “Tour de Ski” series in Italy, repeating the highest result in the history of Latvian skiing, but the Latvian was eighth overall, reaching a new record.

Stages in Drammen (Norway) and Fålun (Sweden) will also be held in March.
