The Fesco transport group added to its fleet a new container ship Kapitan Maslov. The ship is named after the captain of the Far Eastern Shipping Company, Semyon Stepanovich Maslov.

Kapitan Maslov has a length of 172 meters and a width of 32.2 meters. The deadweight is 31,407 tons and the cargo capacity is 2,471 TEU. The crew is made up of 19 people.

The vessel was the last in a series of six modern container ships built to order by Fesco at a shipyard in China. Previously, the group had already included similar ships, Kapitan Shchetinina, Moskva, Sankt-Petersburg, Kapitan Abonosimov and Kapitan Miskov, in its fleet.

The container ship will serve the Fesco Baltorient line, operating along the route through the Suez Canal from ports in China and India to St. Petersburg and in the opposite direction. The ship is currently waiting to enter the Chinese port of Ningbo, where, after loading operations, it will embark on its first voyage.

The Kapitan Maslov will replace another motor boat of the same name, which has been working in the Fesco fleet for more than 20 years.
