At the recent CES in Las Vegas, ASUS announced a range of new products, including the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 laptops and the Zenbook Duo. The manufacturer expects a lot from the new line-up, partly because a Meteor Lake processor is built into some models. Meteor Lake is Intel’s 14th generation of CPUs.

Tweakers Partners and ASUS have joined forces to set up a test panel around the new hardware. We are looking for no fewer than twenty testers for this. They can come to the ASUS Launch Event to view and play with the entire line-up. In the poll at the bottom of this article, they can indicate which of the presented laptops they would like to use for a review. Six tweakers ultimately get to work with the Zenbook Duo 14, four with the Zenbook S14, four with the Vivobook Pro 16, three with the ROG Strix SCAR 18 and three with the ROG Zephyrus G16. Got excited? Register via the poll at the bottom of this article.

Zenbook Duo 2024

According to ASUS, the Zenbook Duo UX8406 is a world first, with its two 14-inch 3K touchscreens with a refresh rate of 120Hz. With this, ASUS wants to set a new standard for use in flexible workspaces. The device is Intel Evo certified and combines a lightweight design with specifications such as 32GB Lpddr5x memory, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 75Wh battery and a Dolby Atmos audio system from Harman Kardon.

ROG Zephyrus G14 in G16, in Strix SCAR 18

With the 2024 editions of the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 laptops, ASUS aims to bring together aesthetics and high-quality technology for the discerning gamer. These latest iterations are equipped with AI-focused chips from Intel, AMD and Nvidia. Its design has been overhauled, resulting in a fully aluminum casing that ensures a significant reduction in weight and a thinner profile of the laptops. The G14 is 1.59cm thick and weighs 1.5kg, while the G16 is 1.49cm thick and weighs 1.85kg. The introduction of Slash Lighting is striking; a subtle, customizable lighting feature that replaces AniMe Matrix, allowing users to project their own light animations. According to the ROG developers, the new lighting element should strengthen the personal connection between the user and the device. Trifan cooling technology in combination with liquid metal and a vapor chamber must ensure efficient heat dissipation, so that the laptops perform optimally even under heavy load. The laptops are equipped with the latest Intel Ultra 7 and 9 processors and powerful Nvidia GPUs from the 4060, 4070 and 4080 series.
