Areas Successfully Conquered by Muslims at the End of Time
Narrated from Jabir bin Samurah from Nafi’ bin Utbah RA, Rasulullah SAW said that Muslims would fight the Arabian, Persian and Roman Peninsula.
It is said in the hadith that Rome was the area that Muslims would conquer before the advent of the Dajjal.
In ‘Asyarah Yantazhiruhal ‘Aalam ‘Indal Muslimin wal Yahuud wan Nashaara by Manshur Abdul Hakim, the victories of these three regions occurred during the time of al-Mahdi before the emergence of the Dajjal.
Some of these occurred during the time of Rasulullah SAW, Khulafaur Rasyidin, and subsequent governments. However, the context of this hadith discusses the end times, namely the era of Dajjal and al-Mahdi.
As narrated from Jabir bin Samurah, from Nafi’ bin ‘Utbah RA: We were once with the Messenger of God SAW in a war, then there was a people facing the Messenger SAW from the west of Madinah. They wear clothes made of wool. They found him on a hill. They stood, while the Prophet SAW sat.
Nafi’ said, “I said to myself, ‘Come to them, then stand between them and him so that they cannot kill him from behind.’ Then I said, ‘Perhaps he spoke to them.'”
After approaching them, I stood between them and him. I remember 4 sentences from him while I counted them with my hands, namely he said,
“You will fight the Arabian Peninsula, then Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will conquer it. You will also fight Persia, then Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will conquer it. After that, you will fight the Romans, then Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will conquer it. You will also fight the Dajjal, then Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will conquer him.”
Said Jabir, then Nafi’ said, “O Jabir, we think Dajjal will not come out until the Romans are conquered.”
Hadith about the appearance of Dajjal
Rasulullah SAW said that the Dajjal is the biggest slander of the end of time. At the end of time, the appearance of the Dajjal is a sign of the great apocalypse (kubra apocalypse).
According to the hadith of Sa’ad bin Abi Waqqash RA, it is stated that one of the physical characteristics of the Dajjal is that he has one eye.
The Prophet SAW said,
“Every Prophet will describe the characteristics of the Dajjal for his people, and I will describe his characteristics for you that have not been described by anyone before me. Indeed, the Dajjal is blind in one eye, while Allah SWT is not blind in one eye.” (HR Ahmad in Al-Musnad and authenticated by Ahmad Syakir)
In the book An-Nihayah fi al-Fitan wa Al-Malahim by Katsir who copied a hadith, the place where Dajjal will appear is in a place called Khurasan.
The Prophet SAW once said,
“Indeed, the Dajjal appeared from the earth on the East side called Khurasan. He was followed by a people whose face was like a forged shield.” (HR Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, and Ibnu Majah. At-Tirmidhi declares it authentic)
In the narration of Anas RA, it is mentioned that Dajjal will appear from among the Jews of Isfahan.
The Prophet SAW said, “The Dajjal appeared from among the Jews of Isfahan with 70,000 Jews wearing crowns.” (HR Ahmad)
