Police in London are investigating an incident where a sticker was placed on Amy Winehouse’s statue in the Camden Market area. On Monday it was announced that someone had placed a sticker of a Palestinian flag on the statue.

The statue wears a necklace with a Star of David. An unknown person had placed a sticker of a Palestinian flag over that chain. The sticker was immediately removed and the incident was reported to the police. A Met Police spokesperson told the BBC that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances and what evidence is available.

The British singer died in July 2011 at the age of 27. She was known for her album Back to Black and songs such as Rehab and Valerie. The singer’s statue was unveiled in 2014 in Camden Market, where she lived for a long time.
