The dragons’ winning goals against Riba d’Ave only came in the last minute
This Wednesday, FC Porto fulfilled its favoritism against Riba d’Ave (4-2), thus qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup, but had to do its best to avoid going to extra time , as the winning goals only arrived in the last minute of the match.
At Parque das Tílias, Gonçalo Alves opened the scoring within the opening five minutes, but Pedro Silva equalized for the home team and Diogo Barata put the Dragons back in front 3.26 minutes before the break. In the second half, Remi Herman made it 2-2 and the tie remained until 1.36 minutes to the end, when Gonçalo Alves made it 3-2. Then, in the final seconds, Riba d’Ave risked everything and played without a goalkeeper, having conceded 4-2 from Carlo di Benedetto, who shot into an empty goal.
