Stellar Blade was announced as a game that should have been released at the end of 2023, but Developer SHIFT UP needed a little more time to put the finishing touches on it.

During the most recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, the new Stellar Blade gameplay trailer below was shown. Here we get more information about the story, the motivation of the main character and some of the characters we will meet during the story. In addition, we see that the main character can wear different outfits, but can also have different hairstyles. The trailer also shows off a lot of the fast hack & slash gameplay that reminds us of PlatinumGames’ action titles such as Bayonetta and NieR: Automata.

In Stellar Blade you take on the role of the character Eve. A talented fighter who has to face an Alien race called Naytibas. The world is almost completely destroyed, except for one city where humanity has fled called Xion. Eve must do everything she can to stop the aliens, exploring different environments, unlocking weapons and abilities and battling deadly bosses. Stellar Blade is especially impressive because of its smooth animations and beautiful graphics.

Stellar Blade now also has a new release date. The long-awaited action game will be released on April 26, 2024 for the PlayStation 5. The game will have a price tag of €69.99, pre-orders start on February 7, 2024. Placing a pre-order will give you the bonuses “Planet Diving Suit”, “Classic Round Glasses” and “Ear Armor Earrings”.
