The swimming coach from the Dinamo Bucharest Sports Club, accused of raping a 7-year-old girl during the lesson, admitted his crime, according to sources from the investigation quoted by Observator News and Știrile Pro TV.. The 20-year-old would have committed the sexual assault in the pool, right in front of the parents of the little ones, including the child’s mother, according to the cited sources.

The man was remanded in custody and fired from the Dinamo club, which is now vetting all employed teachers.
Parents who have children enrolled in swimming at the Dinamo Sports Club are shocked after learning of the incident, and none of them suspected that the young coach could be dangerous.
The aggressor is a student at the Faculty of Physical Education and trains groups of 8-10 children. The children’s parents were always present at the swimming lessons.
The trainer allegedly raped the 7-year-old girl right in the pool, which was full of children and other instructors, and in the stands were the parents of the little ones, including the mother of the sexually assaulted girl.
The little one told them after the swimming lesson what happened and then they went to the police.
The coach was a collaborator at Dinamo Sports Club
The 20-year-old was a collaborator of the academy since March 2023 and was daily looking after groups of 8-10 children, a representative of Club Dinamo claimed to Digi24.
“He is not employed, he is a collaborator within the academy, employed with a sports activity contract, he has been working since March 2023. Every day he had an activity schedule in the swimming pool,” she said.
“He takes care of the initiation part, where there are groups of 8-10 children, the activity is carried out in the 25-meter pool, you cannot crowd with many children”, explained the representatives of the Dinamo Club.
The representatives of the Dinamo Sports Club announced as early as Wednesday evening that they fired the 20-year-old accused of rape and that they made available to the police all the video recordings from the swimming pool area.
“Dinamo Sports Club took measures and showed total transparency, we made available to the police all the images from the time of the training, the contract with the instructor was terminated. We offer total transparency and we are with the competent staff to resolve this situation”, claimed the representative of the Club.
Contacted by Gândul, the president of CS Dinamo, Ionuț Popa, said that so far there have been no complaints about this coach.
“We support the Police investigation with everything necessary. We were all stunned when we heard. We, at the swimming academy, have ensured all the necessary transparency, the parents are always sitting on the edge of the pool, we will not tolerate such a thing. So far I haven’t had any complaints about this coach,” Ionuț Popa told Gândul.
